Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms of Service govern the use of Finantia, the finantia.app website and the related web application (the “Service”), operated by Alan Corral Samaniego, with address at Av. Morelos 703 Pte., Col. Centro, Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If there is any discrepancy between language versions, the Spanish version prevails.
1. What is Finantia?
Finantia is a tool to organize your personal finances: track income and expenses, remember bills, create budgets, goals and lists, and query your information with the help of artificial intelligence.
Finantia is not a bank, a financial institution, or a financial, tax or investment advisor. It does not move your money or make payments for you. The information, calculations and answers it shows are for guidance only and do not replace professional advice.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and provide truthful information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and device access safe.
- Each account is personal. If you share accounts, lists or savings goals with other people inside Finantia, you decide what to share and with whom. When you invite someone by email you confirm you have their permission to give us their address.
- In a shared goal, all members see the progress and each person’s contributions. The goal’s creator can stop sharing it and any member can leave anytime.
- Let us know immediately at hola@finantia.app if you believe someone used your account without permission.
3. Plans and pricing
Free beta: while Finantia is in beta (we tell you when you create your account), every feature is free, we don’t ask for a card and nothing is charged. The plans, free trial and charges described in these sections will apply when the beta ends: we will email you at least 30 days in advance and you can choose to buy a plan or stay on the free Seed plan. During the beta some features may change; if something fails, report it from the app.
Finantia offers a free plan (Seed) with usage limits and paid plans (Grow and Thrive) with additional features. Every new account starts with the Thrive free trial described below; the Seed plan is available when that trial ends or is cancelled, and Grow can be purchased directly with no trial period. Current features, limits and prices are published on the Pricing page, in Mexican pesos (MXN) or US dollars (USD). Before charging for any plan we will state whether the price includes VAT.
We may change prices. If we do, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance and the new price will apply from your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
4. 7-day free trial of Thrive
- Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of the Thrive plan. To start it you must add a valid credit or debit card.
- You are not charged during the trial. We will send you a reminder at least 3 days before it ends.
- If you cancel before it ends, no charge is made and your account continues on the free Seed plan.
- If you don’t cancel, Thrive is charged automatically when the trial ends, for the billing period you chose (monthly or yearly).
- If the charge can’t be completed, the app will ask you to choose between updating your payment method and staying on Thrive, purchasing Grow, or continuing on the free Seed plan. You won’t lose your data.
- The Grow plan has no free trial: it is charged from the moment you purchase it.
- The free trial is limited to one per person. We may refuse it if we detect abuse.
5. Renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) using your payment method, until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from the Billing section in the app (with a short optional survey about the reason) or by writing to hola@finantia.app. There are no contracts or penalties.
- Before you confirm the cancellation we may show you an offer to stay; accepting it is optional.
- When you cancel, you keep your plan’s features until the end of the paid period or free trial; then your account moves to the Seed plan.
- If you exceed Seed’s limits after moving to it, you keep your data, but you won’t be able to add more records than the plan allows until you free up space or subscribe again.
6. Refunds
Payments for periods already started are non-refundable, except where required by Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law or in case of an incorrect or duplicate charge. If you believe you were charged by mistake, write to hola@finantia.app within 30 days of the charge and we will review it.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying you also accept Stripe’s terms. Finantia does not store your full card number. When payments are enabled we will explain how to request an invoice (CFDI).
8. Artificial intelligence features
- The assistant, bank alert reading, receipt scanning and insights use AI models that can make mistakes. Review the information before making decisions.
- To use them you need to give your permission inside the app; you can withdraw it in Settings anytime.
- The Grow plan includes 5 assistant questions per month. The Thrive plan includes unlimited use subject to a fair-use policy of up to 300 questions per month.
- We may temporarily limit AI usage to prevent abuse or protect the stability of the Service.
9. Auto-logging by email forwarding
Auto-logging is optional and works with the bank alerts you forward to your unique Finantia address. Finantia does not access your email account. Detection depends on the format of the emails banks send, which may change; some alerts might not be detected or might need manual correction. Always review logged transactions.
10. Acceptable use
When using Finantia you agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent activities.
- Try to access other people’s accounts or data.
- Copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use bots, scripts or automated methods to extract information or overload the Service.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without authorization.
11. Your information
The information you enter in Finantia is yours. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display it solely to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You can export your data (paid plans) and delete your account yourself from Settings at any time.
12. Intellectual property
The Finantia brand, logo, design, software and content of the Service belong to Alan Corral Samaniego or its licensors. These terms grant you no rights over them other than to use the Service.
13. Service availability
We work to keep Finantia available at all times, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance, technical failures or causes beyond our control. We may improve, change or remove features; if we remove an essential feature of a paid plan, we will let you know in advance.
We may send you important service notices in the app or by email even if you have turned off news and promotions.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Finantia is not liable for financial decisions you make based on information in the Service, for late payments, fees or interest, or for indirect damages. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it. Nothing here limits your rights under Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Finantia and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, notifying you when possible.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the current version on this page and, if the change is significant, notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the changes.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, waiving any other jurisdiction, without prejudice to your right to go to Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
